अष्टावक्र गीता - भाव पद्यानुवाद (सत्ताईसवीं कड़ी)

                  तेरहवां अध्याय (१३.५-१३.७)                                                                                     (with English connotation)
विश्राम, गति, शयन और कर्मों में, मेरा हानि लाभ न होता|
लौकिक व्यवहार में दंभ रहित मैं, आत्मानंद में स्थिर होता||(१३.५)

I incur no loss or profit while resting, moving,
sleeping or working. Performing my worldly duties
without any ego, I exist in my Self pleasantly.(13.5)

हानि नहीं मेरी कुछ भी सोने से, कार्य सिद्धि से लाभ न होता|
हर्ष विषाद का त्याग मैं कर के, स्थिर सब स्थितियों में होता||(१३.६)

I do not suffer any loss by sleeping and do not get any benefit by performing activities. By renouncing happiness and sorrow, I remain constant in all situations.(13.6)

है अनित्य सुख दुःख जीवन में, आना जाना है क्रम से रहता|
शुभ व अशुभ का चिंतन तज कर, खुश मैं हर स्थित में रहता||(१३.७)

Knowing that pleasure and pain are temporary and
come and go repeatedly. By renouncing the
thought of auspicious and inauspicious, I exist
pleasantly in all situations.(13.7)

अष्टावक्र गीता - भाव पद्यानुवाद (छब्बीसवीं कड़ी)

                  तेरहवां अध्याय (१३.१-१३.४)                                                                                     (with English connotation)
राजा जनक कहते हैं :
King Janak says :

केवल कौपीन का धारण करना, भाव अकिंचन उत्पन्न न करता|
त्याग ग्रहण को विस्मृत करके, मैं अपने सुख में हूँ स्थिर रहता||(१३.१)

The inner feeling of having nothing is difficult to
achieve, even by wearing loin-cloth. I am established
in my happiness by abandoning the feelings of
acquisitions and renunciation.(13.1)

शारीरिक या वाणी का दुःख, कहाँ है अंतस का दुःख होता|
परित्याग कर मैं सब कर्मों का, मैं आत्मानंद में स्थिर होता||(१३.२)

There exists no pain due to body, speech or mind,
because by abandoning  all actions, I live happily
in my Self in all situations.(13.2)

जो भी शारीरिक कर्म हैं करते, उनका कुछ अस्तित्व न होता|
सब स्थिति में कर्तव्य है करके, मैं आत्मानंद में स्थिर होता||(१३.३)

In reality there is no existence of actions committed.
Knowing this, I exist happily in all situations, by just
doing what is presented to be done.(13.3)

देह भाव में स्थित योगी को, कर्म अकर्म भाव है बंधन होता|
संयोग वियोग प्रवृति को तज के, मैं आत्मानंद में स्थिर होता||(१३.४)

Identifying themselves with their bodies, Yogis think
about action in terms of performing or avoiding the
same. This is bondage. I exist happily in Self in all
situations, by abandoning attachment and rejection.(13.4)
